We’ll see Piazza del Campo, the beating heart of the city, where the Palio is run every year. We’ll visit a contrada (neighborhood) museum and discover what treasures it holds, including the Hall of Victories with its collection of Palio banners won. And, we’ll go to the two churches most closely tied to the Palio: the Collegiata of S. Maria in Provenzano and the Cathedral of S. Maria Assunta.
