A whole day trip allows you to get to know the Val d’Orcia. A UNESCO World Heritage site due to its outstanding beauty, this area has often been used as a backdrop to famous films.
The first destination is San Quirico d’Orcia, a former stopping place along the Via Francigena, before continuing to Pienza, with its majestic Renaissance buildings and the characteristic aroma of pecorino (sheep’s milk) cheese pervading the streets.
After lunch we will move on to Castiglion d’Orcia and climb the Rocca di Tentennano, from which you can enjoy a wonderful panoramic view. The last stop will be at Bagno Vignoni, famous for its healthy spa waters.
